Lake Arrowhead In Cherokee County, Your Not Dreaming!

Lake Arrowhead in Georgia is located in a gated private community near the town of Waleska, GA. It is Georgia’s largest Lake Arrowhead Viewsprivate man made lake at 540 acres, construction on the dam started in the late 1960’s. 14 miles of shoreline surrounds the water and the lake measures two miles from the North end to the South end. Being fed by a spring leaves it always full or nearly full, and it boasts depths of up to 80 feet.

Lake Arrowhead, in northern Cherokee County, started out in the 1970s as a resort community, populated mostly by weekenders, vacationers and retirees. Lake Arrowhead opened for development in 1973 and there was a rush of home building. At the time I-575 did not exist and Lake Arrowhead was harder to get to than it is today. The initial development pace slowed down some, the community continued to grow steadily and over 1,000 homes were built from 1973 to 2006.

Its mountain views, pristine lakes, golf course and country club amenities continue to attract new residents. Add to this, a dynamic new 18-holeLake Arrowhead Golf Course golf Course to open in 2008, a generous array of outstanding amenities (some existing and many now in the planning stages), 8,000+ acres of lush woodland and you have all the ingredients required to live the rewarding lifestyle you and

In recent years, more families have made permanent homes there, thanks in part to telecommuting and the growth
